WIN OVER SPURS PUSHES CLUB TO TOP OF TABLE IN PREMIER DIVISION

Published May 14, 2021

Tulsa, OK -  Side FC 92 men's team continued it's unbeaten ways on Friday, hosting Texas Spurs in a UPSL televised match for two teams sitting atop the table and unbeaten.

Side FC 92's attack continued punching as the club knocked in 4 goals to Texas Spurs 2 goals.  It was a game that opened up in the later stages as Side FC 92 clung to a 3-2 advantage, continuing to press for a 4th while Spurs find some opportunities in the counter.

Brandon O' Rourke, one of the club's homegrown players, who also plays for the youth side, WSA 04, found the clinching goal with 5 minutes to play to put Side FC 92 up 4-2.

Brad Bennions was named Man of the Match after scoring two goals (5' and 21') to help get Side FC 92 moving the right direction early on.

The win keeps Side FC 92 unbeaten on the early season and narrowly atop the Central North Conference Standings in the Premier Division.  Texas Spurs came into the match previously without conceding a goal in their 4 opening games, with a 25-0 goal difference mark. The early season tilt could prove to have some big-season ramifications later in the summer.

Side FC 92 men's next match is Saturday, May 22, 3:00 PM at home, as we will host Real Irving C.D.  Location of the match will be determined later in the week based on weather.
